We sat quietly inside the temple. There was a unique sense of peace in the atmosphere—the soft sound of the bell, the fragrance of incense, and the idol of the Divine Mother seated before us. I kept gazing at Her without blinking. It felt as if time had come to a standstill in that moment.

Meanwhile, a strange feeling began to arise within me. For no apparent reason, the thought kept coming again and again that I should remove the ring from my finger and offer it at the Mother’s feet. I couldn’t understand where this thought was coming from.

I took off the ring… then wore it again.

Then I removed it once more… and put it back on.

It felt like two voices were speaking inside me—

One said, “Leave it… offer it to the Mother.”

The other said, “No… don’t.”

This inner conflict went on for a while. I was confused, but just then my child placed some money in my hand. It was as if my attention shifted in that very moment. I offered that money at the Mother’s feet… and wore the ring back on my finger.

But one question stayed in my mind—

“Why did that feeling arise?”

Slowly, we stepped out of the temple. Now we were to go for the darshan of Lord Hanuman. As we moved in that direction, a huge and magnificent statue stood before us. Seeing it filled the heart with both devotion and awe.

We sat on the steps outside the temple to remove our shoes. Sitting there, we were talking among ourselves about the temple and the darshan. Just then, my gaze shifted toward the garden ahead.

There, an elderly Babaji was sitting. His attention was constantly on me. I looked at him and gave a slight smile. The moment I smiled, he immediately stood up and walked straight toward me.

There was a strange depth and warmth in his eyes.

He came close and, in a very loving voice, said—

“You have come from Himachal… from Kangra.”

He didn’t ask me where I had come from; he directly mentioned Kangra, Himachal Pradesh.

For a moment, I was stunned.

We had never met before… so how did he know?

I softly replied, “Yes, I am from Kangra.”

He didn’t even wait for me to finish. He immediately held my hand and, without saying anything further, started leading me inside the temple.

In my mind, I was thinking—

“Perhaps he has mistaken me for someone else…”

But there was such warmth and trust in his touch that I went along with him without saying anything. In that moment, many emotions were flowing within me at once—surprise, curiosity, and somewhere, a sense of an unseen divine presence.
