*“Ashram”*

With God’s will guiding me forward, I continued my journey. I began searching in the mountains, and while searching, I found an old house for rent in a beautiful village called Dharamkot, near Dharamshala. There was a lot of empty land around it. The condition of the house was extremely bad. Tall trees surrounded it, and the house was buried inside thick bushes. From the outside it looked like if someone opened the door, the whole house might collapse. But that wasn’t true. The entire house was built of stone, and it hadn’t been opened for many years. The owners of the place hadn’t even visited it for a long time. Because of the rain and lack of care, its condition had become like this.

Even after seeing the poor condition of that place, somehow it settled inside my heart. For meditation, this was the best place. Surrounded by cedar forests, complete silence, no noise at all! The environment around it had a special energy. And the owners of that land knew me well, and I knew them well too. The discussion happened about taking the land on rent. They said they would lease the house and land to us for five years.

I told them, “Not five, please give it for seven years, because seven is my number.” And somewhere inside, I strongly felt that one day this land would belong to the Ashram.

They agreed and said, “Of course, Babaji, whatever you wish.” The paperwork was done, and the land was given to us for seven years. At that moment, I said to the landowner, “Since it is the number seven, within these seven years you will give us this land permanently—that is what will happen.”

Why did I say that? Because from within, I knew it would happen. But immediately he said, “Babaji, right now we have no intention to sell this land.”

I replied, “We will see! Whatever God’s will is, will happen.”

…to be continued!!
