*“Ashram”*
Then in Dharamkot too, we got a house and some land on lease. The next day, we went there and saw the place carefully. The house looked like an old, ruined structure! Cleaning it itself was the biggest task.
We started the cleaning work. The house was beautiful—made entirely of stone. We thought of constructing a hall on its roof. We made a plan and, according to that, within just a few months, the place turned beautiful. After cleaning and building the hall, the place became so beautiful that my heart was filled with peace. One part of me felt happy, and on the other side I kept thinking, “This place is only with us for a few years.”
But once the place was cleaned, its true beauty became visible to the people around. Because of this, many people started noticing it. Sometimes, some would come wanting to buy it. Hearing this would sadden my heart—what if someone bought it!
Slowly, day and night, that place got transformed. Beautiful rooms, and above them a hall for meditation. Around it, tall deodar trees, and in front, a dense deodar forest. The place itself was meditation. Just sitting there quietly was meditation.
Now it was time to begin. I had taken that place thinking I would go there sometimes—just for my own peace. But this wasn’t only for me alone. This was God’s resolve! And God wanted many people to come here. He had turned that place into an Ashram!
Whoever came there, became happy. “Babaji, this is wonderful! This is an Ashram!” I would think—an Ashram, that too on rent. But God’s plan was something else. Something that would only be understood with time.
And then His miracle happened!
……… To be continued.
