| Char Dham Yatra – Kedar Darshan, Day 40 |

After learning of the glory of the temple, we shall now have Darshan. Devotees are moving ahead in long queues for the Lord’s Darshan; some singing bhajans, some hailing the Lord with their spirited shouts of Jaikar. Everyone wants to belong to Mahadev and become His. King Nandi, the bull seated outside the temple enhances its glory and grandeur. You will be able to feel the power of the temple, as soon as you enter through its main doors. That time has come when the Lord shall be before us. Everyone is lost in that Divine world, as they embrace the Lord after having had His Darshan and having offered their prayers and worship to Him. That feeling cannot be described in mere words. It can only be experienced and for that, one has to go there and walk up to His abode in person. When is the heart ever satiated by just a Darshan. Nevertheless, having had Darshan of the Lord, everybody has exited outside within the scheduled time and soon, Sankeertan begins to reverberate in the temple courtyard.

The temple before us and the Himalayan peaks in the back drop; it is as if we have secured the opportunity of witnessing the glory of Lord Shiva in Kailash! The Lord is very happy. Nobody wants to return from there. Loads of cherished memories within and tears shed in the love of the Lord flowing down from our eyes; holding on to this Love within the heart, our footsteps begin their downward trudge. Every object and aspect of nature around reverberates with a chant of Har Har Mahadev, causing us to stop, but then, do the bondages of this world ever permit us to halt and stay on? The entire group has descended by the time dusk sets in & everybody has reached Gauri Kund.
