“Kailash”
Seated on Mount Kailash, the Lord performs such divine plays.
At times, pleased, He grants boons; and at times, the very boon granted becomes a cause of crisis for the recipient. Then, to end that crisis, He grants another boon. That is why He is called Bhole Baba—the Innocent One. He embraces both good and bad alike. Those who are rejected everywhere find refuge in His embrace alone. No matter how much one sings His glory, words fall short, for His greatness is infinite. Now let us read further about what command the Lord gave to Ravana.

“The Chandrahās Sword”
Ravana was not merely a tyrant; he was also a great scholar, a knower of the Vedas, and a supreme devotee of Lord Shiva.
When Lord Shiva witnessed the Shiva Tandava and Ravana’s deep devotion to his chosen deity, He forgave Ravana for his mistakes and granted him divine दर्शन (appearance). Then Lord Shiva said to him:
“My child, ask for a boon.”
Ravana did not ask for immortality; instead, he desired invincible valor.
Lord Shiva then bestowed upon him the divine sword Chandrahās and, while warning him, said:
“As long as you wield this sword in righteousness,
no one will be able to defeat you.”
But with unrighteousness and arrogance, this very sword would become the cause of his destruction.
This sword was not an ordinary weapon; it was infused with Shiva’s power. Its edge was so sharp that no demon, god, or Gandharva could withstand it. In every battle, this sword itself would show the way.
With this warning, the Lord granted Ravana the weapon—and the rest is known to all.
---
With time, arrogance, lust, and unrighteousness grew within Ravana.
The abduction of Mother Sita was the ultimate expression of that unrighteousness.
During the battle between Rama and Ravana, despite possessing the Chandrahās sword, Ravana could not stand before Lord Shri Rama.
Because Lord Rama possessed something greater than any weapon—Dharma (righteousness).
And even the divinity of the Chandrahās sword became powerless under the weight of unrighteousness.

“What Does the Chandrahās Sword Symbolize?”
Chandra (moon/mind) + Hās (joy, serenity)
Only one whose mind is calm and joyful can truly wield real power.
When Ravana’s mind became corrupted, even the sword bestowed by Lord Shiva abandoned him.

“Message for Life”
1. Devotion grants power, but
2. Power without wisdom leads to destruction.
3. No divine weapon can stand against Dharma.
4. The true “sword” is not external, but inner discernment.
The Chandrahās sword teaches us that God gives power, but how it is used is decided by human beings themselves.

Victory to the Universe! Victory to Bhole Baba!
