Faith is like a flower. If we gently touch the flower and feel the fragrance it is more beautiful – a feeling of both the flower and its fragrance and it remains soft too but when we hold it tight both the beauty of flower and the its fragrance gets spoilt. Faith is also like the given example. When we add the pressure of our desires and selfishness to faith, its beauty and fragrance also gets spoilt like the flower. Faith can never be based on arguments.
What is the meaning of Faith?
Faith is happiness and complete faith is what is complete devotion. There are two types of Faith. That which sometimes develops in the family lineage too.. For example, when parents or elders follow Swami or Shiv or Maa in the family , children too follow their footsteps and have the same essence in them. This is one kind of faith that comes as part of the family culture.
There is another kind of faith that comes with experience. Supposing your friend is unhappy and you tell him to vist Swami’s mandir and pour his heart in pain to get a solution to his problems and he follows what you say and experiences a miraculous solution to his problem, , this kind of an experience is self experience! .In both these categories, faith develops and progresses with time but the faith one develops with self experience cannot be shaken or disturbed by any external elements.
Let us assume two people are talking about Bhagawan and about his miracles and a third person listens to this and develops faith. On another day, the same 3rd person gets into another situation where Bhagawan is critcised and he falls prey to the thought there and looses faith. This kind of faith that changes as per context and circumstances does not go a long way and it gets severed. This faith is called ‘faith based on argument’ and faith can never be based on arguments.
When there are difficulties in life and when a person faces the challenges and problems and still moves forward with complete self confidence and happiness, that is called complete faith .When difficult situations break down the individual and he is unable to face it, then that is absence of faith.
Who is Swami, HE is Poorna avataar and Poorna Brahman and therefore one has to love GOD in such a way that the Love is completely devoid of desires and selfishness and we should never worship GOD for our selfish purposes.
Selfless love towards GOD is the only permanent and strong Love. Do not attempt to know GOD, HE is a state above your thoughts and that is what is Truth and that is where the experience of God begins.
