| On Maya |

It is pre-decided, everything is decided by God like when will the birth happen, what will be his lifestyle, every single thing is decided before itself. Karma in the sense, what will he do as a child, what are the different Lilas he will do. For example can we can take the example of Krishna who was very simple. Being a God, he was self-realized, so he knew everything right from his birth. Yet the games he played with his friends as a child, they were all gentle, subtle. His Avatar declaration did not happen all of a sudden. But gradually he started doing miracles, continued his miracles. Only after this, the world was awakened to his true identity. The truth is, Bhagawan Krishna revealed his true identity only at the right time. The thing is, He did not reveal this to everyone for the simple reason that every person’s capacity to accept things is different. God does not give the full dose at one time. The experiences are gradual, first one experience, then another, another, another and then the time to truly understand Him dawns.

It does not really matter to God, He knows when to hide, when to reveal His true form. So, only at the time when a person can digest something, He tells that thing to that person. God does this for the happiness of the person, for his bliss. When someone wants to come to God, why would He want to confuse that person? May be He confuses but why does this confusion arise? The truth is, confusion does not arise because God wants to create confusion. One seeks God and God gave confusion, this is not how it is.

Why does confusion arise? Every human being has both good and bad thoughts. Good and bad co-exist in every one. When God wants to end a bad thing, for example imagine, a thorn has pricked you. Now you want to remove the thorn, you need another thorn or a sharp object. So to remove the thorn, you need to bear a little bit more pain. Then only the main thorn can come out.

What is confusion? When a person is confused, more negativity comes into him. So to remove the negativity, and if God wants to make the person more pure, then He gives that person specially more confusion. God only plays with some people, people who He loves the most, the most loved of His children. God loves everyone. Yet, He loves some people more, those who have a pure heart, they become more loved by God. And He becomes their friend. And then God together with these people does a lot of work, shows them a lot of things. Again this depends on the Karma of the person. Why does God do this? Because God wants to end the bad, God makes them even more negative so He can remove the negative from that person.

The second thing – until you have experienced a thing, you don’t really know what you have sacrificed. People say, I have sacrificed this, sacrificed that, But when you ask them – what did you sacrifice, for what good cause or for God what have you sacrificed?

But don’t fear. People fear that they have done this bad thing, they have seen this bad thing, they ate this bad thing. For example, let’s say some ate non-vegetarian food, they did something bad with someone. Then the person in his mind makes this so negative, and that is when thoughts of atonement or repentance come. If you have experienced something, and now you feel true remorse, then sacrifice it. When you sacrifice it, when you sacrifice some bad quality in you, when you sacrifice something that was not easy, you become a hero (thyagi). After you sacrifice it, a power comes from within you, the power to sacrifice, let go of one’s desires.

What things make people unhappy these days? What gives them the most distress? This distress is caused because of a lot of desires. Even after possessing everything, they are still more desires. The desire to get something more, something more, more, more and more..

There is Maya, God creates Maya, and this Maya is one of the paths. This Maya can help you, if you can understand it. Without Maya, there is no Karma in this world. Maya is also from Karma. This maya can also help you to come out of everything, to get that satisfaction.

Sri Krishna tells Arjuna to be a ‘Stitha-Pragnya’, on seeing his despair. In his distress when Arjuna asks Krishna how can I destroy the Kauravas(who are his cousins), Sri Krishna tell him to be in a stable -balanced mind or Stithapragnya. One should be /remain in such a balance or become a Stitha-pragnya.

Maya only acts or is felt when it wants to bring about a balance in you. If maya bothers you again and again, it indicates a time for change. It wants to see a change in you. That is why it is coming again and again.

Otherwise, there are a lot of people who do not bother about such things (are not interested in spirituality, God), to whom Maya makes no difference. Maya does not want anything from them. Maya wants a lot from you, that is why it brings you on this spiritual path.
