| Maha Shivarathri, 21.Feb.2020 |


Maha Shivarathri is an important festival in the annual calendar of the trust and was celebrated with great serenity at Shivanandam Nivas in the divine presence of Babaji Sri Shivananda. The morning session was initiated with special havan(homa) for Lord Shiva and the evening session commenced with Bhajans and Kirtans from 10pm until 7am the next day. During the start of bhajans 13 Shiv lingams were seen manifested(see photos) just in front of the altar of Haidhakhan Babaji. Food(Annadhan) was served to all assembled people before the night long bhajans.

Kangra, a small district in Himachal Pradesh, is not a place one would usually associate with Durga Pooja. Yet, over the last 13 years, Durga Pooja has been a regular feature at Shivanandam Nivas, old Kangra.  What started as a small celebration now attracts devotees from all parts of the world.
The festival is a ten day celebration that invokes and venerates the Universal Divine Mother (Durga). It is a symbol of good vanquishing evil. Over those ten days, some of the highlights include traditional rituals (such as poojas, Chandi Havan), traditional dancing (Dhunuchi) and free meals for those who visit.

Sri Shivananda on the 12th Annual Shrikand Mahadev Yatra – July 2019 – commencing on 11.July.2019 ..

Om Namah Shivaya! This is a 3-4 days trek in the divine company of Sri Shivananda to the Shrikhand Mahadev peak at 5227 metres(17150 ft.), Himachal Pradesh, India. The Shrikhand Mahadev peak is named after Lord Shiva.

The holiest of holy walks, with the holiest of holy Saints for a fortnight in sacred Himalayan Kailash!

The first divine trip to Kailash Manasarvor by 37 spiritual aspirants chosen and led by Babaji commenced on 17th June from Kathmandu with the group being back in Kathmandu by 26.June, 2019.
