Char Dham Yatra – Pilgrimage to the Himalayas – Days 1 to 4 Om Namah Shivaya. I am very happy that we all as a group have got this opportunity to listen to the narration of the Chaar Dhaam Yatra – a journey to the four holy abodes. Our nation Bharat is full of supernatural powers and religious places; where the bliss of worship with lamps and a holy flame can be seen flowing through every street, every nook & corner and every grain or particle. From amongst all these, I shall describe to you all, the bliss and glory of the four sacred abodes nestled in the Himalayas. I along with all of you and you all along with me, together we will partake of the bliss of this narrative. I will tell you about some of the important places forming a part of this yatra pilgrimage. It is my wish that you all enjoy thoroughly, the bliss of this sacred journey. This pilgrimage will be completed in about 15-20 days. I shall write just a little about each place, everyday, so that your patience and joy remain intact. As we journey along, please feel free to ask any questions that you may have pertaining to this pilgrimage, without any hesitation whatsoever. Come on then, let us embark now on this spiritual trip. हिमालय के चार धाम बद्रीनाथ, केदारनाथ, गंगोत्री, यमनोत्री। ये चारों धामों की महिमा, महत्व के बारें मे मै आप सबको बताऊंगा।

कल से इस यात्रा का आंनद कथा के रुप में शुरु करुँगा। हमारी यात्रा कल ऋषिकेश से शुरू होगी। मै आपको इन धामों की शक्ति महिमा का विस्तार मे वर्णन करूँगा।जय विश्व।।बाबाजी।।

मैं बहुत ही खुश हूं की हमें ये एक साथ चार धाम यात्रा कथा का अवसर मिला।हमारा भारत देश हमेशा तो आलौकिक शक्तियों और धार्मिक स्थलों से भरा है।गली- गली कण-कण में जहाँ मंदिर आरती पूजन का आंनद बहता रहता है।उनमें से हिमालय के चार धामों की महिमा का आंनद मै सबको सुनाऊंगा। मै आपके साथ आप मेरे साथ मिलकर इस यात्रा कथा का आंनद लेगें।मै इस यात्रा मे कुछ प्रमुख स्थानों के बारे मे बताऊँगा,मेरी ईच्छा है आप इस यात्रा का पूर्ण आंनद लें।ये पूरी यात्रा पन्द्रह से बीस दिन मे पूर्ण होगी।मै हर दिन हर जगह के बारे में थोड़ा ही लिखूगाँ।ताकी आपका धैर्य और आंनद बना रहे।।इस यात्रा से जुड़ाँ कोई भी सवाल होगा तो आप निसकोंच पूछ सकते है चलिऐ तो हम चलते हैं।एक आद्यात्मिक सफर में।।

Estoy muy feliz de que todos nosotros, como grupo tengamos la oportunidad de escuchar la narración del Chaar Dhaam Yatra, un viaje a las cuatro moradas sagradas. Nuestra nación Bharat (India) está llena de poderes sobrenaturales y lugares religiosos, donde se puede ver la dicha de la adoración con lámparas y una llama sagrada que fluye por cada calle, cada rincón y cada esquina y cada grano o partícula. De entre todo esto, os describiré a todos vosotros la dicha y la gloria de las cuatro moradas sagradas enclavadas en el Himalaya. Yo junto con todos vosotros y vosotros junto conmigo participaremos de la dicha de esta narración. os contaré sobre algunos de los lugares importantes que forman parte de este yatra (peregrinación). Es mi deseo que todos vosotros disfrutéis a fondo la felicidad de este viaje sagrado. Esta peregrinación se completará en unos 15-20 días. Escribiré un poco sobre cada lugar, todos los días, para que vuestra paciencia y alegría permanezcan intactas. Having spent time in Rishikesh with Mother Ganga, various ashrams, yoga, river rafting, darshan of temples, prayers etc., let us now journey forward to Chamba, a small and beautiful village nestled in Himalayas. Winding roads marked by landslides here and there, lined with Pine trees and many other species of tall, huge trees, interspersed with signboards wishing all travelers a safe journey and promoting conservation of the forests; the entire road to Chamba is wrapped by the beauty of nature all around and reminders at regular intervals, of our responsibility as tourists: to follow the discipline of not dirtying the environment by throwing any waste or disposables out in the open no matter where we may go – be it the hills or any other surroundings outside of our homes, for that matter. Despite a plastic ban in all the hilly regions and mountains, tourists still don’t seem to heed the ban seriously.

पाँचवा दिन-ऋषिकेश से चम्बा

ऋषिकेश मे वक्त बीताने के बाद माँ गंगा,आश्रम,योग,राफटिग,मंदिर दर्शन,पूजन के बाद अब हम ऋषिकेश से चम्बा जायेंगे। जो की पहाड़ो मे बसा एक सुंदर गाँव है।

Day 6 – From Rishikesh, Towards Yamunotri

As such, it is not necessary to go to Chamba when traveling from Rishikesh to Yamunotri. There are other routes one can take from Rishikesh to Yamunotri. One of them is via Mussourie but, while we were on the Yatra, I thought that I should let you enjoy a visit to this beautiful place Chamba also. Bageshwar temple is not situated in Chamba. It is located in Kumaon Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, which is a different side of Uttara Khand. However, in order that you know of the glory of this temple and experience the joy of having visited it, I described these two places also. I’m sure all of you enjoyed reading about these two places. For us to go to Yamunotri, there is no need to go to either of these two places. Nevertheless, we could derive the joy of these two places also, from this narrative of the pilgrimage. To summarise and recap, yesterday we traveled from Rishikesh to Chamba. While in Chamba we got to know of the Bageshwar Mahadev temple and its history. You will all secure the Darshan of this pilgrimage center also. Let us now return to Rishikesh from Chamba and let us begin our travel from Rishikesh to Mother Yamuna today. We will travel from Rishikesh to Mussourie via Dehra Dun.

छठा दिन—ऋषिकेश से यमुनोत्री की ओर

वैसे तो ऋषिकेश से यमुनोत्री जाते वक्त, चम्बा जाने की जरूरत नही होती है।ऋषिकेश से दूसरे मार्गों से यमुनोत्री पहुँचा जाता है।ऋषिकेश से देहरादून, मसूरी होकर जा सकते है।पर यात्रा के दौरान मैने सोचा आपको इस सुंदर जगह का भी आनंद लेने दूँ।और बागेश्वर मंदिर भी चम्बा मे नही आता ये कुमायुं गढ़वाल अर्थात उतराखण्ड के दूसरी जगह मे आता है।पर आपको इस जगह का महत्व और आंनद प्राप्त हो इसलिए मैने कल इन दो जगहों का विवरण दिया आप सबको जरूर इन दो जगहों का आंनद आया होगा।हमको यमुनोत्री के लिए इन दोनो ही जगह जाने की जरूरत नही पड़ेगी।पर यात्रा कथा मे इन दोनो जगह का भी आंनद मिला।।तो कल की हमारी यात्रा ऋषिकेश से चम्बा दर्शन की थी।तो चम्बा मे बैठ कर हमने बागेश्वर महादेव के मंदिर और उसके पीछे के इतिहास को जाना।आप सबको इस धाम का दर्शन भी प्राप्त होगा।अब हम चम्बा से लौट कर ऋषिकेश वापिस आते है। तो आज ऋषिकेश से माँ यमुना के दर्शन की यात्रा शुरु करते हैं।ऋषिकेश से देहरादून होते हुये हम मसूरी ओर जोएंगे।

Como tal, no es necesario ir a Chamba cuando se viaja de Rishikesh hacia Yamunotri. Hay otras rutas que se pueden tomar de Rishikesh a Yamunotri. Uno de ellos es a través de Mussourie pero, mientras estábamos en el Yatra, pensé que debería permitiros disfrutar de una visita a este hermoso lugar de Chamba también. El templo de Bageshwar no está situado en Chamba. Se encuentra en la región de Kumaon Garhwal de Uttarakhand, que es un lado diferente de Uttarakhand. Sin embargo, para que conozcáis la gloria de este templo y experimentéis la alegría de haberlo visitado, también describí estos dos lugares. Estoy seguro de que todos vosotros disfrutasteis leyendo sobre estos dos lugares. Para que nosotros vayamos a Yamunotri, no hay necesidad de ir a ninguno de estos dos lugares. Sin embargo, también podríamos tener la alegría de estos dos lugares, a partir de esta narración de la peregrinación. Para resumir y recapitular, ayer viajamos de Rishikesh a Chamba. Mientras estuvimos en Chamba, conocimos el templo de Bageshwar Mahadev y su historia. Para todos, el darshan de este centro de peregrinación también estará asugurado. Regresemos ahora a Rishikesh desde Chamba y comencemos nuestro viaje de Rishikesh hacia la Madre Yamuna hoy. Viajaremos de Rishikesh a Musorí (Mussorie) a través de Dehradún.

From Lakhamandal, we have now reached another beautiful village in the Himalayas called Badkot. Come, let us get to know of some of the special aspects of this village.

लाखामंडल मे शिव मंदिर और ऐतिहासिक भवानी गुफा दर्शन पाकर।प्रकृति का आंनद और मन मे जोश और भोले बाबा के नाम के जयकारों के साथ आगे की यात्रा की ओर बढेगे।लाखामंडल से हम हिमालय के एक और सुंदर स्थान पर आ पहुंचे हैं।जिसका नाम मे बड़कोट आईए जानते है।इस सुंदर गांव की कुछ खास बातें।

Day 8 – Yamunotri Darshan

Having enjoyed the thrill & beauty of the mountainous route and having known the importance of each and every prominent place along the way, we arrived into Janki Chatti yesterday. This is the place from where travelers undertake the remaining 6 kms journey on foot because no vehicles can go beyond this point. One has to, if so necessitated, engage a horse or a Palki (palanquin) or a Peethu (a person who carries you on his back – who does this for a living) for the road ahead, which is both enjoyable and tiring too.

आँठवा दिन–यमुनोत्री दर्शन

पहाड़ो के रास्ते का आंनद लेते।और हर जगह का महत्व जानते हुऐ।हम कल आ पहुँचे।जानकचट्टी।।ये वो स्थान है।जहाँ से यात्री आगे की छह किलोमीटर पैदल यात्रा करते हैं।क्योंकि आगे गाड़ी नही जा सकती।यहाँ से आगे धोड़ा,पालकी,पीठू,के साथ आगे बढ़ना पड़ता है।जो कि थोड़ा आंनदमय,थोड़ा थकान भरा रास्ता है।चलो आगे बढ़ते हैं।

Después de disfrutar de la emoción y la belleza de la ruta montañosa y de conocer la importancia de todos y cada uno de los lugares destacados en el camino, llegamos ayer a Janki Chati. Este es el lugar desde donde los viajeros emprenden el viaje restante de 6 km a pie porque ningún vehículo puede ir más allá de este punto. Uno tiene que, si es necesario, contratar un caballo o un Palki (palanquín) o un Pithu (una persona que lo lleve sobre su espalda, que hace esto para ganarse la vida) para el camino por delante, que también es agradable y agotador.
